Five promising French and Canadian cleantech companies will present to investors, strategic corporate representatives and industry stakeholders. The companies will pitch in Toronto and, simultaneously via videoconference, to a group of France-based VCs and strategic investors.
The Canada / France Cleantech Exchange offers a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with startups and provides insights into the French cleantech market and investment community.
We welcome investors as well as industry representatives with an interest in either funding or partnering with cleantech companies in France and Canada.

GreenMantra has developed a proprietary catalyst that transforms recycled plastics to industrial waxes and fuels. The company will initially focus on the wax commodity market such as asphalt, wood products, rubber, paper products, paints, inks, and adhesives.
Hydrostor develops underwater compressed air energy storage systems. The company’s patent-protected technology efficiently converts electrical energy into compressed air, then stores it in a series of flexible energy accumulators located 50 to 500 metres below the surface of a body of water. Once it is in the accumulators, the energy can be stored until it is needed by the grid.
The company has developed and patented sensor solutions to identify the molecular structure of liquid fuels which establish the pathway to lower fuel consumption, together with reduced CO2 emissions and lower pollution levels. Applications for this sensor have been identified in the refining, chemical, automotive, transportation, power generation and mixed fuel engines.
Sunfire develops and markets efficient energy conversion technologies thanks to high-temperature fuel cells and electrolysers. This state of the art technology is designed to convert Power to Hydrogen, Gas, or Liquids, or reversibly, Liquids and Gas into Power and Heat in order to target a wide variety of markets.
